This was the battle ground for the reformation. Salvation is by Grace alone on the basis of Christ alone received through faith alone so that all things lead ultimately to the Glory of God alone with scripture alone as the only final authority teaching these truths.

Today, I invite you to the same battle field, I invite you to the table so you and I may gaze upon scripture, to which the reformers sought to point us to, to which Paul insisted, ‘let Him be accursed He who preaches a contrary message’ to which Timothy was commanded to study and preach and to which we are all commended to look upon, that very word which has eternal life, that we may gaze upon it and see. ‘How are we saved? How was our salvation procured? What became of us?
