As part of producer Dick Wolf’s One Chicago franchise, Chicago Med was likely to follow in the footsteps of Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. in terms of winning over fans. And, of course, that’s exactly what happened — Chicago Med recently began its 10th season on NBC. S. Epatha Merkerson, who’s been with the show since its very beginning, she knows what the show’s fans are looking for. And as the show begins its new season, she said there’s been a burst of creative energy from the writing room, with some of the show’s veteran writers being joined by some Chicago Med newcomers.
