He's also President of the Philadelphia Association of Black Journalists and Regional Vice President of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Mid-Atlantic Chapter). Known for his bold commentary on race, LGBTQIA issues, and pop culture, Owens founded his multimedia company in 2018 to promote diversity in media.
