Armond Davis is the founder and Managing Partner of The Paragon Group, a venture capital firm, based in Atlanta. The firm invests exclusively in pre-seed and seed stage businesses that are owned by underrepresented founders who are female or ethnically diverse.

Armond has worked with over 100 founders in the past five years, consulting on a variety of topics ranging from talent management to fundraising, to developing a growth mindset as an entrepreneur. He began his career as an analyst at Goldman Sachs and after obtaining an MBA in Finance from Florida A&M University, worked on the Equity Trading desk at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey before serving as the Lead Assistant Portfolio Manager SunTrust’s Trust Department. He began his journey as an entrepreneur in 2006 with the acquisition of a small construction company. He ran that business, Paragon Construction Group, thru the Great Recession, during which he never laid off a single employee. Since the end of the Great Recession, Mr. Davis has owned and operated multiple businesses in the import/export, media, real estate, and marketing industries. Armond is in a continuous pursuit of knowledge and education. In addition to the MBA in Finance, he obtained a Master of Science in Commercial Real Estate from Georgia State University. He currently holds both a contracting and real estate broker's license in the state of Georgia. He also has received a certification in Fintech from The Wharton School.

Armond is a also a dedicated member of the civic community. He is a graduate of the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Regional Leadership Institute, where he focused on challenging issues facing Metro Atlanta such as Housing, Health Care, and Transportation. He is also a graduate of the Urban Land Institute’s Center For Leadership, where he helped to work on land development issues such as affordable housing, residential zoning, and gentrification. He is a dedicated member of the community and has served on the Board of Directors of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta, which focuses its mission of mentoring young, Black men in the underserved areas in Northwest and Southwest Atlanta.
