He is a black consciousness scholar; he is also the co-edited of the influential volume BIKO LIVES! Mngxitama is the founding editor of a new Frank talk journal which published one of Mngxitama's influential essays titled Blacks Can't be Racist. Another essay published was Is Malema a Mugabe?
