This podcast is part tutorial and part a Constitution Minute, remarks on our electoral process. There is only one federal election -- it's called Presidential -- every four years.
The confusion is caused by a 2021 decision of the Supreme Court to “regulate” federal elections! That’s bogus; there’s only one federal election. Congressional elections are state matters. A voter in Wyoming does not vote for a Senator from Connecticut.
Although in 2020, voters from NYC voted in Tennessee. (All those Amazon Gurus who flooded our roads) While it’s not illegal to be licensed to drive in two states, it is illegal to vote in both states.
I also support his call 📱 for the end of early voting 🗳️. It hasn’t done ✔️ the job it was designed to do. That is to make the process easier and more available. In Tennessee (at least), overall voter turnout remains hovering around 14/16% and it’s cost me money 💴 (that is, those 48% of us who pay taxes), and hasn’t worked.
It leads to abuses, such as in Wisconsin (2016), when that state recorded more votes cast than registered voters. A clear case of Russian Interference!
