Welcome Coach Sydney Carter to The IT Factor Podcast. She is a former WNBA Player and now a Coach over Player Development for the University of Texas Women’s Basketball Team. Coach Sydney has a passion for helping young athletes in college, which is actually where she won her first championship at Texas A&M. After college she went on to play in the league and oversea’s with some of the legends that are pioneers of the WNBA. Sydney stated - “The Orange Ball Took Her around the world for free”
She has played against some amazing players like Sue Bird, Diane Taurasi ,and Tina Thompson that were able to help make her dreams come true.
In her current role, as a coach at University of Texas, she describes it as a full circle moment from starting at Texas A&M . One day Coach Sydney hopes to serve as the head coach for a NCAA Women’s Basketball Team. From time to time she even loves to watch some of her past opponents like “Odyssey Sims”, Brittany Griner, and Candace Parker “ she also shouted out Candace Parker On her great career & retirement”
Lastly, Coach Sydney spoke about how she is a normal and humble person and does not mind being her whole self. I look forward to continuing to see her grow and evolve in her career.
