This week the theme is Going Old Skool & we'll be chatting about some of the OGs in the paranormal romance/urban fantasy genre. Then we're spending time in the world of Necromancer, Paranormal Investigator, Vampire slayer and overall bad a** Anita Blake, in Laurel K. Hamilton's Circus of the Damned. Just when Anita thinks she has her hands full with one master vampire, another master has come to town and he also seems to have his sights set on Anita. Some gals have all the luck.
We're dishing about what made these books end up in our classic series list and how they paved the way for a genre that's since exploded. We'll discuss how the threshold for romance has changed, the delicate balance of spice and story, & just what the hell is up with all those frilly shirts Jean-Claude wears?
