"The Misconception of Full time Christian Ministry" Acts 1:8
Manage episode 422909084 series 2787897
If you grew up in Church like me, maybe you have heard the term "Full-time Christian Ministry (or service)" ... this is a term used to describe people who are Pastors, evangelists, or Missionaries (who have gone abroad). All these are wonderful, but the question is, can a person who goes to school, works a 9 to 5 secular job (any job for that matter), and lives what constitutes a "normal" life in their current culture, be in "Full-time ministry"? The answer is Yes.
The general misconception is that to be considered someone who is in full-time Christian ministry/service you have to be a Pastor, Evangelist, an overseas missionary, or work full-time for a Church or Christian organization. Although those things are all considered full-time...those who have fully surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and are living as Jesus Disciples; those who learn from Jesus; and those who live life as He did... are also considered "full-time" in Christian service.
