INTRO:
If someone asked you a simple question… would Jesus drop a bomb on a city? OR would Jesus pull the trigger on someone breaking into their house… how would you respond?
YESTERDAY… at a coffee shop. Olga from Bulgaria…
Is he in the bathroom…
We can’t ask would Jesus pull the trigger… it would make no more sense than asking would Jesus take medicine.
Jesus does condone violence as seen in Matthew 18:6 and in the end times he uses violence for his purpose.
He gave us life which is the greatest gift next to his son we could receive. He asks us to protect life, in the womb, out of the womb to the tomb.
If I was to quantify wether or not I want to take someones life I would say 99.9% of me does not want to take a life. But within the same scale 100% of me wants to stay alive and protect my family. So by a mere .01% I will choose to defend myself.
Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Amplified: Blessed (enjoying enviable happiness, spiritually prosperous—with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the makers and maintainers of peace, for they shall be called the sons of God! (Amplified Bible - Lockman)
1. To preserve peace where it is—...
2. To restore it where it is not—…
Jesus brought the ability to have peace between Man and God through a violent death…
This would be a terrible picture of what peace was if you actually thought it meant pacifism.
Christ through the end times allows, and calls upon and even dictates to his angels to act out violence on the earth… why? To bring about repentance and peace to the world.
