In sports, three teams from the Foothill League are in the CIF Southern Section football playoffs and the Canyon High girls volleyball team is playing for a CIF Southern Section championship. The Dodgers won the World Series, taking down the New York Yankees in five games. The Rams won their third game in a row, rallying in overtime to beat the Seahawks in Seattle.
