Parliamentary Cooperation: How parliaments learn from each other
Manage episode 454787997 series 3622950
You live and learn. That applies not only for people, but also for parliaments. For this reason, the Austrian Parliament is in active dialogue with other parliaments around the world. They learn from each other. For example, to better organize parliamentary processes, to get more and more standards between parliaments in the EU, to strengthen the rule of law and, most of all, to integrate citizens better and more transparently into parliamentary work. What are parliaments learning from each other? In which fields is the Austrian parliament a role model for other parliaments? And how does such cooperation between parliaments work? About these and other questions we spoke to Katharina Stourzh, Head of the Austrian Parliament’s Department for Parliamentary Cooperation, and Tijana Rosandic, among other things Foreign Affairs Advisor in the Secretary General’s Office of the Parliament of Montenegro.
