Laura Bautista:
How safe are your loved ones and ideal clients from big pharma? I want you to think about this for a second. How safe are your loved ones and your ideal clients from big pharma?

[MUSIC]

Welcome to the prosperous practice podcast. I'm your host, Laura about Teesta. And I am so honored, excited and happy to have you here with me. Let's get into it.

[MUSIC]

It's kind of frightening. When I even ask myself that question like it gives me like pain in my left foot. As a somatic experiencing practitioner, I'm always feeling like where the discomfort is. But really, it's kind of all over. Because the truth is, if we leave it up to- up to big pharma, our loved ones, and our ideal clients are not safe.

Your client is being taught to believe that their bodies break. Right? So in the holistic health space in the whole world, no matter what type of practitioner you are, the mainstream message is that your body breaks. And that it's normal for you to get diseases and that it's normal for you to have to take medications and you know, be on medications for the rest of your life and deal with deteriorating symptoms for the rest of your life. And in some cases, a high level of health management will be required. But in all cases, there's something that can be done. Right?

But people aren't being told that. In most cases, people are being given a diagnosis, followed by a prognosis that tells them how things are going to turn out for them. Right? So in the last episode, I think I mentioned how, when I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, I was told I would never get better. But if I took medications, if I took these daily injectables, if I came to the hospital, every time I got sick, if I took steroids, you know, a couple times a year, there was a chance that I could potentially not get worse, but I would never get better, right? And so this is what people are being fed.

And so I'm not, I am never coming down on doctors, I love doctors, I love the intention of becoming a medical doctor, and all that it stands for. But it's not enough to feel safe to go to a doctor and get a pill, or get a medication, or get a diagnosis and a prognosis, you know, that can give you some support. But that's not a safe plan. That's not a sustainable plan. Right? And again, every patient, all clients, all- all people who come to us as practitioners are being taught in a huge way that their bodies break. And that that's normal. Right?

So we know that big pharma informs the curriculum for medical schools. And if this is the first time that you're hearing that I am so sorry to break that news to you. But it's really important that you know that and that you research the history of medical schools, and the history of medicine in this country, because it used to be a very different medical system. Before we had the intervention of big money. It was actually a much more reasonable medical system. There was homeopathy, there were homeopathy schools that were just as many homeopathy schools as there were allopathic schools.

But once Big Pharma took over the curriculum, and big money, really, once it became a business, that is when it became a pill for every ill, instead of you know, doctors as teachers and teaching people how to heal themselves, right doctor means teacher, literally. So again, it's not about the doctors, but the system is fucked. And the way that they're trained is fucked. And I've had multiple medical doctors reach out to me in my years as a health coach, and just say, where did you get your training? Like? How did you, you know, create this life and they also told me never to go to medical school because it'll ruin me. This is multiple, multiple doctors because you end up becoming a slave to the pharmaceutical company, you end up becoming a fucking drug pusher and it sucks.

And my heart goes out to these doctors who become doctors because they want to help people. And because that's what you're taught is you have to be a doctor to help people. Well, I'm here to say you don't have to be a doctor to help people. In fact, many people that come to me have had so much medical trauma, they don't even want to work with a doctor. They want to work with someone who is certified and qualified and has done as many trainings and as, you know, as much experience as I do and as much connections and access and things like that as I do. But a doctor, what they're really looking for is a teacher, believe it or not.

There's so much that can be said about that, but but just remembering that when you're meeting your client, where they're at, like, this is where they're coming from, right? This is what they're up against. So if it takes them some time to catch on, or a bunch of repetition, like be with them, hold them, hold them through that they need you to hold them. And they need you to be repetitions and to be patient, and to hold the line for them, right, because that's another thing that, that this medical system doesn't do it just as like, well, it just continues to give you pills, like it's not holding the line for you to take responsibility. For the most part. I know, there are exceptions, but the model doesn't teach that the model does not teach that. Right?

And what I mean by holding the line, right is holding people accountable to their day to day responsibilities for themselves. And and supporting them and providing them with ideas and options and science and practices and personalization, which is what we get to do. As holistic practitioners, functional medicine coaches, we get to do that for people, right, we get to we get to provide resources for them and, and personalize it. You know, trauma healing professionals.

Trauma healing is like the biggest missing piece, first of all, in all models that don't include it, right? Because we need to come back to the nervous system and what's happening in the physiology on that level. Right? It's just so deeply connected, but like nobody's talking about this stuff in the western model. Not really. And, and, gosh, I wish I could remember where I read this. I'm pretty sure I read this either in Townsend letter, or my dad said it, I can't remember. But either way, there's probably a consensus, I've heard it actually many places that modern medicine is already like 50 years behind. Right? So it's like, by the time people start implementing what I'm talking about now, we're going to be eons ahead.

And hey, I'm cool with that, I'm still going to talk because I still want to advance it, I still want to shine light, I still want to expand the consciousness of, of what the body's innate ability to heal itself is, right. But the point is, is that most people are going with such outdated information. And if you're a practitioner, and you've recently visited family, or if you think about just being in a room of people that you care about, at least are talking about health stuff. I mean, it makes– I literally had to take off my glasses and like, give my eyes a little bit of a rub. Because when you hear people talking about what they think is healthy, again, it's almost like it's intentionally being put out into the world so that people just fucking get it wrong. And it's a disgrace. And this is why you're here. And this is why you're so needed and we need your message. We need you sharing the truth. We need your relentless commitment of radar. And we need your disagreement with Big Pharma, we need you to help people understand that their bodies do not break. They do not break they are just out of alignment.

And even if they are super far, you know, feel super far gone. I'll say there's always something that can be done to move the body toward a healing state to make the body feel better, safer and more able to heal. Always there is something that can be done– challenge me in the DMS if you don't believe so, because I want to help you believe that if you don't believe that, and if you hear I feel like you probably believe that most of the time.

So… what else is happening? Right? That's that's that we need to remember, right? Nobody is listening to your people. Nobody's listening to them. In the western model. It's not designed for them to be listened to. Why? Because it's a fucking cash system. It's like any other goddamn insurance system and my gosh, I'll try to keep my emotions and anger out of it. But I can't help but have a little bit of fucking holy rage against this shit. Because I've worked in that system. That only is is it designed for doctors to not have enough time to really fully see you and hear you. It's all about you know, clearing people out getting more people in to clear more clear more people out to get more people in the emphasis on turning over beds and hospitals and administrative workers are overworked and under enthused, and they don't want to do anything more for people because they're just spread so thin. So like they very easily say no to people.

I used to get in arguments when I was working at one of these hospitals. And they were people that had a similar job to me it was like secretarial admin work. And we're we're talking about oncology patients here. We're talking about cancer patients here who are calling and they're confused and they've been through the wringer and they're scared them all the stupid fuck admin shit and paperwork to do. And then they're calling for answers, but you get tired person on the line and they say no to you and they don't want to help you. And I used to get into so many arguments on the admin side of like, “Yo, we cannot be like that to patients, we need to be here to listen.”

So when I talk about how save for your loved ones from big pharma, and really from that model, like if they're not being listened to, it's causing more trauma, it's causing more damage, it's leading to more symptoms and more prolonging of suffering, and disease progression. So we want to be aware that they're not being listened to, right, they get 15 minutes in a prescription and See you later. Right. That's how it goes. No one's talking to them about nutrition and lifestyle and stool testing and parasites, viruses, heavy metals, you get it. Right. I had a client once, who was struggling with multiple sclerosis, she hired me, because you know, kind of like I was talking about with the with the Montel thing. Last episode. It's like she saw that I had been through what she'd been through. And then she got curious. And then she started to pay attention to what I was doing. And what I was doing really resonated. And so she decided to move forward. And when she first started working with me, she's a mom of three kids. And she's she she had a job, but she also ran the household and - shouldn't - outside job I should say. And she also ran the household.

And one of her biggest pain points was a she couldn't stand and make dinner without being exhausted at the end of it, her legs would get so weak. And she would have to use her wheelie thingy. It's like a support for her knee, right. And she would have to rest on it and lean on it. And even then she felt really heavy and so much pain. And she would cry as she did the dishes. And she would attempt to go to Costco, and to walk all the way around Costco and go food shopping. And again, by the end of the day she was spent, and she just couldn't do it.

And it would it would really make her feel like crap, it would make her feel kind of traumatized. Because here's a woman, she's in her in my age, you know, mid 30s. And she couldn't fully walk around the store, she couldn't stand up and cook for her kids. She didn't have the energy to be present with her with her family and her husband. And she was just she was just being told what I was told, right, which is that you're never gonna get any better. But take these injections or take these, you know, really harsh side effect pills. And there's a chance you might not get worse. And that's all bullshit.

And after working together. For four months, we worked on detoxification, reducing inflammation, we worked on emotional healing, we worked on her claiming her worth claiming who she really is. Right, getting into the spiritual aspect of things getting into the microbiome aspect of things healing, you know, detoxing, some heavy metals, supporting hormones had a lot of hormone dysregulation, a lot of nervous system dysregulation within four months, yo, she was able to stand and make a full dinner and do the dishes and not feel like she was going to fall over and have more energy to put the kids to bed and to do her self care. She could walk all the way around Costco.

And if you're someone who's ever struggled or seen someone who struggles with a neurodegenerative issue, or chronic pain, like this is huge advancements in health and four months of dedication, intention and root cause healing. And nobody's talking to them about these possibilities. Nobody talked to me about it. And so this is is what we need to know and where they're coming from and what the opportunities are. Right, because they're missing so much.

So well, when we think about who we're helping, or if it's ourselves that we're helping, right, we want to remember that what we have been taught is limited– is so much more limited than you could imagine. I am in the trenches of studying. I love it. I love it. I study for fun, I read articles, I do programs. I've done a bajillion programs, I love learning from holistic doctors, functional medicine practitioners, trauma healing specialists, you name it, I am there, right, because the solutions exist.

And, and as I continue to learn, I see how much more there is still available out there. Right. So this is how we normalize. This is how we normalize wellness. We normalize learning how your body works, and that you have so much more power to heal than you've ever been taught. And our people need to know that as well. Because what they're being taught what they're seeing in every other fucking commercial if they watch TV and have cable is that they need these people ascriptions And then if you take these prescriptions you look like these, like hot people who have no problems, right in the commercials and in the ads, but, you know, you're going to experience this 40 symptom list of side effects that are like signals of like really intense problems that are going on beneath the surface, like all symptoms are communication, right. But what's happened, what's happening is that people and the media have normalized our normalizing symptoms, normalizing taking drugs for the rest of your life, normalizing all of these things that are fucking lies, instead of normalizing your body's innate ability to heal itself as its own innate health care system is by design, it is by design.

And so as we are aware of what our people are up against, we can take that energy use that as fuel, because it's fucking injustice. And we use that as fuel, to educate and to support. And I honestly don't believe in fighting old systems, I used to get real rowdy about Big Pharma, I used to talk a lot of shit on social media– get very controversial, whatever, it's a roll. And I, if that's your, if that's what feels really good to you freaking go for it. But what I notice is much more potent is the energy of not the energy of fighting old systems, but the energy of creating new ones.

And when you are relentless, and committed, and you continue to show up, and you're consistent, even if it takes you a while, it creates trust and people and they start to listen, and they start to get curious. And it's not about convincing people either. It's about cultivating curiosity for the collective to make the decision themselves to find a new way, because it's out there. And I know you know it, or else you wouldn't be here listening. So remember, there's a lot out there that is keeping our loved ones and our clients really at harm's way of Big Pharma's influence. And so you'll hear me say a lot of times, I'm kind of the anti influencer influencer, right, I get that I influence people. But I'm not about fame, I'm not about- that doesn't drive me, that doesn't motivate me.

However, I know that if my voice is not being heard, if I'm not getting a little loud out there, the only other fucking voice available, or not the only other but a big other voice out there that is very influential, is that a big pharma, and it's not good enough. It's not good enough for our people, it's not good enough for us. And it's not helping people long term, it's keeping people sick. So with that, I will close up today. I invite you to get your passion on, speak from the heart, and talk about what's possible new systems, and share with people.

If you agree, it only works if it's if it's true for you, but share with people how I get that nobody is talking to you about possibilities. I get that you're being taught, this is normal for you. Now I get that you get 15 minutes with your doctor on a prescription and no one's talking to you about nutrition and lifestyle and stool testing and heavy metals and all these other areas where we need to look in order to find some relief. I get that you're not hearing that. And I want it to– I want to teach you more about it. And if you're curious, come join me make it Invitational and do it and take action on that because I'm not here to just hear myself talk right or for you to just, you know, take this and not do anything with it right?

I'm here to help you rise up into the practitioner that you were meant to be in this world. And people are looking for you. They are literally out there looking for you. But instead, they're finding a bunch of nonsense. Because, you know, you don't know how to market yourself. Well have getting. Alright, I'm really going to end there. But as always in this in the cycle right now, as we're open enrollment, it's only once a year. And I really, really, really want you to join.

If you're a practitioner who's looking to completely transform your business and the next year, and you want to talk about the prosperous purpose mastermind. I'm teaching you specifically how to do all of the things that I talked about in a way that works for you that makes you money that feels good in the long run and that lasts you for forever. You can't unlearn how to make 10 grand in an easy way. Like you can't unlearn how to do that. And that is typical results. If you follow how I teach you if you immerse if you take care of yourself. You take care of your trauma, and you are coachable. You can absolutely turn your business On your practice into something that is generating a really nice amount of revenue, and allows you to pay your bills feel really good, have a lot of space and you can do a ton of shit for free. That's one of my favorite things is that, you know, it's so the opposite of what Big Pharma is doing right?

Big Pharma is all about profit. This work cannot be about that. We need to make money to be able to live on this planet. And at the end of the day, it's all about service. It's all about people. There's a really great book, people over profit, one of the first coaching books that I that I read, or one of the first books that I read as a coach, I should say, but that's what it's all about. And I invite you to hit me up in the DMS over on Instagram, @theLauraBautista. And let's start a conversation.

Let's talk about if this is the right thing for you, if I can help you grow your business, it's what I live for. There's limited spots available, and we start toward the end of the summer.
