Point 1: Live Connected

Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire;

he breaks out against all sound judgment.

Proverbs 18:1 ESV

If we only seek our desires, when they lead down the wrong path, we have no one to help us see the another outcome.

How do we live connected?

1. Find a small circle of faith-based friends whom you trust with sound judgment

2. Allow yourself to be vulnerable

3. Put in the effort to cultivate a culture of connection.

1. Share in life

2. Share in joy

3. Share in pain

Point 2: Live Empowered

When we live empowered, we live in a source that is not ourselves

14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.

1 Corinthians 12:14-18 ESV

When we live empowered, we practice a livable Faith, Because our faith is livable…

Point 3: Live Free

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

Galatians 5:1 ESV

13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Romans 8:13 ESV

Put to death the deeds of the body, this may have to happen multiple times, but as we continue to pursue a life of Freedom, to choose to put these to death is to not submit to the yoke of slavery.
