Join us this week as we sit down with Sensei Phil Duncan. Phil Duncan is a Use of Force Expert/Instructor with over 35 years of Martial Arts expertise. He holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in Close Quarter Combat Sambo (C.Q.C.S.) and is a Master Instructor recognized by the United States Combat Sambo Association. Sensei Duncan has worked various plainclothes units, has conducted over 1500 plainclothes investigations, which include but are not limited to Homicide, Firearm, Gang, Drug, and Traditional Organized Crime investigations. In his role, he has conducted upwards of 300 active entry search warrants and over 500 High-Risk Vehicle Takedowns. He has been a Site Commander Team leader, providing protective services and physical security to A-list celebrities (Oscar award winners), C-Suite executives, Professional Athletes, and critical infrastructure for a variety of details including: The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), 2010 Toronto G20 Summit, International Federation (FIS) Snowboard World Cup, and many more. Sensei Phil Duncan is the Founder of the Covert Elite Response Academy (CERA) and is currently the Head of Community Safety for City Housing Hamilton (CHH). He currently provides industry leading training to Government agencies and the Private sector. Phil has trained thousands of Police, Military, Security Guards, University Special Constables, and Federal and Provincial agencies both Domestic and Internationally.
