Lubbock’s city council, with it’s new leadership, made a right decision to drop the taxpayer funded subsidy of the longtime and well established First Friday Art Trail. Councilman Glasheen and Mayor McBrayer are right in objecting to the promotion of homosexuality through the event but there is an even bigger reason it should not be subsidized with taxpayer funds.
