Throughout its 58-year history, food and drink has played a significant role in the Star Trek universe. Food can be a cultural touchstone, from the Klingons and their gagh, bloodwine, and rokeg blood pie, to the Vulcans and their plomeek soup, and the Bajorans with their very spicy hasperat. Peace treaties can be hammered out over the dinner table. Captains can search living nebulas for coffee. And a certain Talaxian can cook for his crew in the ultimate expression of love.

In this episode of the Positively Trek podcast, hosts Barry and Dan share their thoughts on the role of food and drink in Star Trek.
