Sofia Ferreira is the new Managing Director of Organon Portugal. She is a pharmacist by training with a degree marketing and an MBA. Sofia started her career in Schering-Plough where she worked for 10 years in roles with increasing responsibilities. Upon the acquisition of Schering-Plough, she has moved to MSD, where she held multiple roles of increasing responsibility, including people manager roles, in different therapeutic areas, from WH, to Established Brands, Vaccines and Hospital Specialties. After 10 years, she has decided to change and joined Organon in Portugal as Marketing and Sales Director, managing a broad portfolio of products. She is an invited teacher in AESE, one of the most important business schools in Portugal, giving lectures on pharmaceutical industry marketing and communication. She is also an active member of Women Leadership groups and is an invited guest to podcasts and conferences on the topic. Outside of work, Sofia is happily married to João and they have 2 children, Rodrigo with 16 years old and Vicente with 10 years old.
