Press 1 to speak. The Power of Life and Death This week we experience the death of a political icon in the late Sen. John McCain and the great Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. Both lived more years than promised since none are, both from very different backgrounds with both leaving a large legacy and body of work behind. As I was speaking and reflecting on their lives and funerals we both thought that these two giants left giant unfilled shoes and who would fill them? Suppose they took their shoes with them but left us the cobbler’s tools and materials to build our shoes from our experiences base on the foundation of our collective ancestors.
