• The Reds win yet another first game of the series. They jumped out to a 5-0 lead, and held on to win 5-4.
• Graham Ashcraft went 5 innings giving up 4 hits, allowing 3 earned runs striking out 3.
• The bullpen for the most part did their job. Nick Martinez allowed a hit in an inning and fernando cruz and Alexis diaz shut them down. Diaz recorded his 18th save of the season.
• The Reds offense was boosted by 114 mph Elly De La Cruz and Will Benson Home runs
• Elly went 2-5 adding a triple and 2 RBI’s as well. Elly has 22 hits in his last 15. Hes hitting 355 over that span with a 758 slugging percentage. He has also crossed the plate 13 times during that time frame.
• Candelario went 1-4 with an rbi
• Spencer steer got on base twice via a walk and a double also bringing home a run
• Aaron Judge did go 3-4 with a home run as well.
• They are back at it tonight at 705 where Andrew Abbott goes up against carlos rodon. Rodon has allowed 20 runs in his last 3 starts. Abbott is rocking with a 3.4 era and 72 strikeouts.

• The dodgers won 6-5 over the diamondbacks . they were down to their last strike and teoscar hernandez brought in the game winning run to walk off in the bottom of the ninth
• Athletics beat the angels 7-5. Brent rooker and lawrence butler each hit home runs.
• Orioles blanked the mariners 2-0. Grayson Rodriguez is now 10-3 on the season as he goes 6.1 innings striking out 8 and allowing only 2 hits
• Brewers beat the Rockies 4-3. Rhys Hoskins was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the ninth for the game winning run in Coors field. The Brewers have also acquired a decent pitcher for the first trade of the season. Aaron Civale is heading to milwaukee for infielder gregory barrios.
• Rays take care of the royals 5-1. Bobby witt jr’s home run was not enough.
• Rangers shutout the padres 7-0 as Eovaldi goes 7 innings allowing only 1 hit while striking out 6
• Phillies win 6-4 over the cubs. Trea Turner homered twice including one that left the ball park. Cubs have lost 7 of 9
• Twins beat the tigers 5-3 as they extend their home run streak to 20 consecutive games hitting a deep fly.
• Giants shock the Braves winning 5-3. 3 home runs by soler, wade and ramos all homer to lead the way
• Blue Jays hang on to beat the astros 7-6. Springer hits a 3 run blast and Horwitz added a solo shot as well.
• Mets destroy the nationals 7-2. Sean Manaea went 7 innings allowing only 1 earned run. Lindor and alonso hit home runs
• Cardinals beat the pirates 7-4. Nolan gorman’s grand slam helped bolster the win
• Guardians take out the trash against the white sox 7-6 the final score.

• Brazil and Columbia tie at 1-1. Columbia wins group d and will take on Panama.
• Costa rica beat paraguay 2-1.
