In this special first anniversary episode of the Women's IP World Podcast, the podcast host Michele Katz becomes the guest.
Northon's Media Founder & CEO Carlos Northon speaks with Michele Katz about her fascinating career in the industry. They also track back to the Women's IP World 2019/2020 to talk about Michele's article 'The Myth of Work-Life Balance,' More recently, her article published in the 2022 annual edition 'Could This be a Crackdown? Justice for Trademark Owners Long Overdue.'
During the podcast, they discuss in more detail Michele's passion for helping children without a family in orphanages. Michele believes that no child should be without a loving home and founded the Plus One Adoption Foundation and not-for-profit organisation with a mission to increase awareness and financial support of adoption in the family planning space.
Michele Katz, the co-founder of the intellectual property law firm Advitam IP, LLC, based out of Chicago, has provided powerful expertise in client counselling, strategic analysis, licensing, prosecution, and litigation in all areas of intellectual property law for 20+ years. Her diverse skill set and drive to deliver results applies equally to obtaining trademark and copyright registrations and issued patents, as it does in obtaining favourable outcomes in state and federal court and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, US Customs, and the US Court of Appeals for the federal circuit. As a certified mediator, Michele has also brought parties to creative solutions for their disputes.
