What do you say when someone asks " How are you going when going through Breast Cancer?" .........hang on, have you got 2 yrs to sit down and have a coffee with me?! Michelle Gray joins us to share her journey.

Michelle shares, diagnosed with Breast Cancer 2020 - I want to go deep, to express the psychological head games getting diagnosed with Breast Cancer can have on you. Through my own personal journey- What I felt, what I did to keep my spirits high and strong. Those that impacted me on my journey and had a profound effect on keeping my shit together. The highs, the lows, the laughs. The rollercoaster effect of mind, body and spirit. I want to be raw with my feelings. Techniques I used to stay calm in my most worrying moments, waiting on results.

The effects it had on my family and friends. The good, the bad and the ugly. How do you cope when you are questioning your time on this earth, the shock of not knowing, no control. Thinking that the things you were controlling in your life before BC were important but soon realise that 99.9% of those things are fixable at any time! Shifting to draw on faith because the Big C is something you can't control, the fear of the uncontrollable. You just want that Crystal Ball so freakin bad!!!! You would chop your arms and legs off and hand them over if that could give you any type of guarantee [ I was on hands and knees pleading with Shanta to just do whatever to get me cancer free " Dont you know " I have 4 kids and a husband!"

The shift in mindset........ A 38yr old woman, a Newcastle Mum, shocked, being thrown into a world never imagined, like a freight train going through a building unexpectedly, that was what I felt when being told I had BC...... " I feel like I'm in a bad dream" I said to the Sue, McGrath Nurse. Promising God over and over again that I would be a good person on this Earth if he got me Cancer Free. I'll live this life to the fullest, if you do this for me! Take my Breast! Take My Nipple, take my Lymph Nodes- Take any body part you want!!!! Sorry Big Man I'm here to stay!

I want to help Cancer and Non Cancer People cope together. So carers and family can have some insight into a Cancer Patients mind. It's like at the time I split the world up into Cancer and Non Cancer people (hope that's ok to say?!LOL) I want the Non Cancer People to know the minds of Cancer People and bridge the gap of helplessness.

If I help One Person cope through this journey and someone says to a Cancer Patient, "I listened to this Podcast the other day, Michelle Gray she had DCIS- Grade 3, 10cm Tumor in her Left Breast, Full Mastectomy- you should listen", then I'm happier than the day I got told I was Cancer Free!!!! Lets not do it alone........ lets not just smile at coffee and say Im going well, because that's Bullshit!
