Goksenin Ozturkeri, the chief investment officer of Relevate Power, joins the podcast this week to discuss the growing role of hydropower in the energy transition.
Relevate Power had a big year in 2024, having completed an equity raise with Greenbacker Capital Management’s Green Development Opportunities Fund I over the summer. Then, with financial backing from Apollo, the company acquired Gravity Renewables in December. The deal added 40 MW of high-quality assets to Relevate Power’s portfolio.
Ozturkeri discusses the best uses of hydropower, including supporting data center and other growing load sources. Later in the program, Ozturkeri discusses Relevate’s business model, which includes re-developing and modernizing older hydropower sites.
