Oooh Brujeria! Que tema tan sabroso. I would like to say this is a deep dive into the Brujeria movement but truly this only touches the surface. There is so much history, socially and politically, around this craft. It taps into women's lives directly and indirectly. It is so embedded in Latinx communities and homes, yet we know nothing of it other than its evil and negative connotations as dictated by Christianity. In this episode, I explore the reasons for its public resurface and recent popularization and provide a more general definition of it. It has become so much more than a spiritual practice, it's a social movement and women, humanity, have so much to learn from it. As promised, here are all the links to the resourceful women I cited during this podcast!
