This is the first of a two-part deep dive around abusive relationships. I am joined by the incredible abuse recovery coach Karleigh Lynne and we go in hard on all things abusive relationships. In this first episode, we talk about what abuse looks like, how to spot it, and why it is so hard for mums to leave. This is a very difficult topic surrounded by a culture of silence and shame and it's high time we broke some of the silence.
This episode comes with a trigger warning that we are discussing domestic abuse, including non-consent and various forms of violence. I urge you to give yourself a lot of grace if you are or have been in this situation, but also that you do listen if you can. We talk about the very subtle signs which start so many abusive situations and I recommend this for people who think there may be somthing concerning going on for them, those who have lfet abuse, those still surviving and those who just want to know more about abusive dynamics.
