Finding what’s important for you with my dear friend Geida Cleveland
Manage episode 345980085 series 3367517
Hello and welcome to the Your Latina Mentor podcast! In one of my giggliest episodes, I sit down with my good friend Geida Cleveland as we reflect on our time together at the University of Minnesota where we met. As the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Enrollment and Scholarship at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, she gives tips on how to know if/what college is right for you. She also shares the story of her early years living in the Mexican/Arizona border and moving to Minnesota at the age of 12, navigating motherhood with two young children, and her journey with mental health. She also highlights that for those in the United States, we as Latinas have the power to vote. During this midterm election year, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate will be contested - so be sure to go to https://poderistas.com/poderportal/ to flex your vote by November 8th. I am so grateful to have Geida in my life and her sharing her story with us. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did. You can connect with Geida on LinkedIn. Thank you for joining us.
