Juwan Howard fired reaction; Michigan football coordinators impress

Despite all of the handwringing based off speculation weeks ago that Michigan basketball head coach Juwan Howard would return for another year regardless of the devastatingly bad (program worst) season, on Friday, U-M announced that he will no longer be serving the university as the head coach of the team. We react to that news as well as share our own personal shortlist of who we'd like to see considered for the post.

Then, we get into the football press conference that took place earlier in the day, starting with new defensive coordinator Wink Martindale. There was a lot that came from his media availability that impressed, particularly his view on joining the Wolverines as well as recruiting -- some things we truly did not anticipate. After that, we talk about offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell and why he also had an impressive showing on Friday, and why it feels like the maize and blue are in good hands on both sides of the ball.
