Are coach Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans good enough to win the Big Ten during the 2024 college football season. The short answer is "yes" they are good enough to make things interesting at the top of the Big Ten standings. The long answer is a bit more complicated.

SNEAKY TROJAN HORSE

If the USC football team is going to make a run during its inaugural Big Ten football season it is going to have to learn to play some defense. Outscoring teams 42-32 is fun and exciting in the Pac-12 but that style is not going to work in the Big Ten.

The good news is that Lincoln Riley changed defensive coordinators and he brought in some new talent, especially in the secondary. That should help right away and compliment quarterback Miller Moss and the offense in their attempt to win some games.

FOLLOW THE MONEY

Elsewhere around the league teams are looking for more money to offset the new and expensive revenue share plan for athletes. We have learned that Ohio State and their famous Ohio Stadium may have a lucrative sponsor title plastered on the walls in the future.

Speaking of the Ohio State Buckeyes future, one of their 5-star freshman quarterbacks said he absolutely made the right decision to come to Columbus.

POOR NEBRASKA

There is some bad news out of Nebraska as they suffered two season ending injuries in recent days. We will tell you who it involves.
