EP 213: How We Maintain Change

Our #subtlechangeprofoundimpact this week is:

We do things subtly…put systems in place IF that works for you, ie, meal prepping each week to save time during your week. Work out at the same time every day if that’s helpful, and have an alt system in place if weather or mood throws you off on certain days. Like..if you like to go to the gym or go outside and run every morning but it’s raining today, or you’re not feeling up to it, have a gentler method in place like doing yoga or walking on a treadmill instead that day so you stay CONSISTENT. Consistency is key!

Keep a checklist of what you’d like to accomplish, and put those items on the calendar!

Regarding change when it comes to tricky conversations, just remember:

YOU DON’T HAVE TO ATTEND EVERY ARGUMENT.

Look at those situations as a distraction…if I engage, now I’m upset/now I’m not showing up for myself the way I’d like to, which then impedes on my whole day! Let it go/change the subject/walk away/whatever you can.

Remember “It’s not about being right—it’s about being happy”, if you want to hold a mantra.

If you’ve been in the habit of turning to food or something else to ease your discomfort, start turning to being brave enough to TALK about things instead.
