-Smelling like “something fishy”

-Suspecting/Thinking something

Examples:

-Sai quanto costa un caffè in Italia? (Do you know how much a coffee costs in Italy?)

-Luca non sa a che ora parte il treno (Luca doesn't know what time the train leaves)

-Sapevate che noi non mangiamo carne? (Did you know we don't eat meat?)

-Ho saputo che ti sei sposato! Congratulazioni! (I heard you got married! Congratulations!)

-Hai saputo che c'è stato un terremoto? (Have you heard about the earthquake?)

-Marco, sai suonare il violino? (Marco, can you play the violin?)

-Maria sa parlare due lingue (Maria can speak two languages)
