Joel McKinnon Miller discusses his experiences working on the movie Super 8 and the TV show Brooklyn Nine-Nine, as well as his journey in the acting industry. He shares insights on working with directors J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg, his friendship with co-star Andre Braugher, and the importance of perseverance and taking on all types of roles in the theater. Ben Cena always enjoyed movies and comic books. After graduating from Bishop Watterson High School, I spent four years studying illustration at Columbus College of Art and Design, where I received a bachelor's in fine arts. When I was 22, I started a web series called Retro Podcast and wrote my first screenplay, Orlando Monster; the script was nominated for the Chicago Film Awards Festival and first placed in the Cooper Awards. At age 23, directed and edited a short documentary titled The Joy of Teamwork that won two awards in two international film festivals. At age 24, I wrote and illustrated my first comic book, Night at the North Pole.
