Send us a text In this message we look at the attitude we are to have concerning the abominable practices of the world and the consequences that come with them if we choose to practice them in our own lives. What did God think about the lifestyle of the Canaanites? Does he feel the same way about these same practices today? What instruction did he give the Israelites concerning their involvement with the Canaanites? Are his instructions the same for us as New Testament believers? What did God say would happen to those who brought an abomination into their house? What does the word “Abomination” mean? What are some examples found in scripture that are viewed by God as an Abomination? Should we view those things the same way God does even if others in society think differently? In II Corinthians 6:14-18, God promises to receive us and make us his son’s and daughters if we do what? What does the word “Accursed” mean? In Joshua 7:21-25, what happened to Achan and his family when he took the Accursed thing into his house? In Joshua 7:11-12, what consequence did Israel face after the Accursed thing was taken by Achan? What did God say had to be done to fix this problem? Do you think God has the same standard for us in the New Testament? Read Ephesians 4:27 & I Corinthians 6:15-20, Can we expect to stand victorious over the devil and be in agreement with him at the same time? In James 4:7, how does James say we are supposed to stand against our adversary? Before we “Resist” the devil what is required by us? If we follow God’s instructions we can enjoy his promises and walk under his protection and live in the victory he has provided! Send us a text Destroying the Division In this message we speak about how idolatry in the heart produces a divided commitment in our relationship with God. How committed is God in his relationship with us? When God created the first humans, did he design their relationship (marriage) to be one of commitment? When we are not being faithful in our relationship to God, how does he view it? Where does all idolatry start or begin? What we treasure or value as most important in our hearts becomes our what? God is calling his people to follow him and destroy what is causing their hearts to be divided toward him. Jesus told us we must make a clear, committed decision to whom we are going to serve, and that we cannot serve what? What did Jesus mean when he mentioned our “eye” being single? According to Psalms 115:3-8, what happens to those who practice idolatry? How did God judge Israel in I Kings chapter 18 for their idolatry? After they repented of their sin, what did God send as token of his mercy toward them? God will do the same for those are willing to repent of their idolatry and restore us back into a single minded, committed relationship with him. 1 The Cross, God's Full Provision for Mankind. Part 2 Salvation, the Key to Complete Wholeness 59:50
Send us a text The Cross, God’s Full Provision for Mankind Part 2 Salvation: The Key to Complete Wholeness. The purpose of this message is to open the understanding of God’s people to the provision that was made for us through the cross of Jesus Christ. Also, to destroy the barriers and remove limitations that the devil and religious systems have created in the minds of God’s people, so that God’s people can walk in Complete Wholeness for their lives. What does the word salvation mean? Other than the forgiveness of sins, what other things did God provide for us through the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross? Through the precious blood of Jesus we understand that God loves us and that he has provided everything we need to be made completely whole. Who is the one that comes to steal, kill, and destroy? What kind of life did Jesus come to give to his people? What does the word abundant mean? What are 3 main reasons why God’s people are not walking in God’s abundant provision for their lives? Why did Jesus say that you “Might have life”? Is God’s provision automatic? How important is it for us to know what benefits have been provided for us through Jesus’ sacrifice? Will Jesus do, for us what, he has done for others when he was on the earth? Support the show Contact us with your questions, prayer requests, and testimonies at josiah.radio@charter.net. I also discuss several questions about this topic. Does one automatically receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost when they repent of their sins, and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior? Does the scripture show us that the baptism of the Holy Ghost is a separate experience from repentance/salvation? After one becomes a believer/follower in Jesus Christ what condition did Jesus say they had to meet so they could receive the Holy Ghost? John 7:37-39 What else does the scripture tell us we need to do if we want God to give us the Holy Spirit? Luke 11:13 Is it possible for believers to be followers/disciples of Jesus Christ but not have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost? Acts 19:1-7 What was the indication (evidence) that these disciples/believers received the baptism of the Holy Ghost? Acts 19: 6 The motivation of this message is to create a desire (thirst) for more of God within his people who have Not Received this Powerful Gift (experience), and to stir up the fire of God in those who have!
