Medicine Woman Jemmita | Ancient Wisdom Healing Techniques
Manage episode 427045506 series 2798026
I was born as Jemma. I love Jem, and my Peruvian family calls me Jemmita because I spend half of my year in the Andes in Peru. It's an affectionate name that means 'sweet Jemma'. I have been working with the wisdom of the Andean Shamanic Path, the Cosmology of the Inca, and the pre-Inca traditions of Peru for some years now. I have extensive experience working with, facilitating, and practicing rituals and ceremonies in Australia and across the world. I spend many months of the year traveling between Peru, my homeland Australia, Bali, the UK, and Europe.
I believe that ceremony is a celebration of life. Our connection to the Earth, each other, and ourselves is often missing in our modern lives. Through cultivating a respectful and grateful connection to the Universal Beings and Pacha Mama, we become more in alignment with our true nature, which is infinite love, joy, and freedom.
The give-and-receive concept called 'Ayni' in the Andes guides us and helps us remember that we are powerful beings of light and masterful co-creators. When we free ourselves from anything that holds us back, we realize that we are limitless.
Many of us have forgotten this, so gathering in community, ceremony, and celebration, as our ancestors and many First Nations people still do, helps us wake up and remember the truth of who we are. Then, we are unstoppable!
