In the latest episode of The Ticker podcast, we highlight some of the best moments of 2023 from IR Magazine Awards ceremonies across the globe, look at ESG priorities in 2024 and cast an eye over the ever-changing world of retail investors.

First, we want to take our listeners back to a few key moments our editorial team spent with award winners on the red carpet in New York, London, Toronto and Singapore, as we hope some of their overcome challenges, triumphs and insights will set the tone for a promising 2024.

In the second part of the show, we report live from the floor of the ESG Integration Forum – Autumn, held this November in London. IR Magazine reporter Noemi Distefano is joined by head of content Steven Wade, senior conference producer Laurence Taylor and reporter Hemma Visavadia for a roundtable discussion on the top themes that dominated this year’s final London event focusing on the ESG landscape.

Later in the show, Distefano also speaks with Christina Sautter, professor of law at Southern Methodist University School of Law, and Sergio Gramitto Ricci, associate professor of law at the University of Missouri-Kansas City school of law.

Sautter and Gramitto Ricci shed light on the intricate and perhaps controversial landscape of retail investors with a focus on engagement, education, corporate governance and emerging trends. They also discuss some of the proposed rules by the SEC that could potentially change market accessibility for retail investors.
