In this episode, we are going to discuss a study done on hay net height and the effect it has on the posture of the horse.
The study uses 6 healthy warmblood horses around 14 years. And were observed eating from three different feeding positions:
1. On the ground (the control position)
2. With their neck held about 15 degrees below withers height (the low hay net position at about knee level)
3. With their neck held about 15 degrees above withers height (the high hay net position).
