Run The Reagan Road Race Set For Saturday

The 29th annual Run The Reagan Road race is set to take place at 9 a.m. today, with a large number of participants expected to compete in various races on Ronald Reagan Parkway. The event features a half marathon, 10K, 5K, and a fun run, providing entertainment for the whole family including music by DJ Lee, a Kids Fun Zone, characters and free face painting from Snellville Performing Arts, as well as food from Chick-fil-A and Ms. Jay’s Funnel Cakes. Run The Reagan President, Amanda Soesbe, described the event as a way to support the local community and three charities: the Brookwood Schools Foundation, the South Gwinnett Cluster Foundation, and the Lilburn Cooperative Ministry. The event, sponsored by Piedmont Eastside Medical Center, raises nearly $50,000 each year, which is equally split among the charities.
