Folktales are unkind to women and female characters. You cannot pick up a folktale to tell without passing it through the gender lens.

At the face of it, this is a story that I wouldn't tell. But today I am.

There are many things about this story that's disturbing.

I have included it in this podcast, just because it IS an important story that we should listen and talk about.

Here are a few links that will help you bridge meaningful conversations around Women's Rights, Gender, Politics and Inclusion.
