We do celebrate His birth, but Christmas is much more than that. This was a moment of fulfillment; the culmination of hundreds of years of prophecy. It is not just a story of a baby Christ; it is a story about us – we need a Savior. We need the perfect lamb sacrifice that would cover our sins forever. Christmas is a story about salvation.
Isaiah 7:14
14 Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, the young woman who is unmarried and a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel [God with us].
