Big Hunting Creek is a favorite day trip destination for Washingtonians seeking cold water full of trout. Anglers visiting this stream have included several presidents. The stream’s proximity to Camp David has kept presidents and their guests entertained for decades. President Biden flies over Rob as he heads toward the Eagles playoff game. You can't make this stuff up. This is not a secret fishing location. Rob is not giving anything away. Part two of Rob’s day trip finds him on the east slope of the Catoctin Mountains. Rob breaks down the physical geography of the area, the history of the stream, those that fished it in the past, and what you may find in its plunge pools, bends, and under rocks. At the time of publishing President Jimmy Carter is in hospice care.
