As visionary thinkers we often seek immediate success. We forget that we are allowed to make bad art, we are allowed to play, we are allowed to take risks and we are allowed to fail. A wall towards the bigger vision is built of many bricks, and I am constantly reminding myself that not every work needs to be everything.
Join me in the studio as I walk you through some of the creative risks I have made this week.
As I move closer towards the completion of my latest painting discernment becomes a slow but integral part to the process. At this stage each individual mark becomes a question to be answered.
How does this mark make me feel?
Do I feel restricted, or more expansive?
In order hear the creative solutions we must first remember that in order to have self expression, we must first have a self to express. As we lose our vagueness about ourself, our values, our life situation, we become available to the moment. It is there that we find our creative self.
