A major merger in the CRE world this week. In the November 1, 2019 CRE News Hour, we’ll chat with stock analyst John Guinee of Stifel about Prologis’s 12 billion dollar acquisition of Liberty Property Trust. We have excerpts from a “Meet The Developers Panel” held Thursday by the Philadelphia Center City Proprietors Association (you can purchase a podcast of the full panel here), and we speak with Jim Lapides and Caitlin Walter from the National Multifamily Housing Council about its objections to rent control around the country, which they say puts a damper on affordable multifamily development. (Read the NMHC study here.)
