We all want to change things about ourselves. Our habits, our negative emotions, and behaviours we realise are hurting us and others. But how? If you've been trying for a while and getting nowhere, it's easy to feel stuck. For people who love Jesus, that feeling can be mixed with anxiety, or even doubt - "I thought the Holy Spirit was supposed to work on me". When we feel stuck, we may think that what we need is more elbow grease, grit and determination. But the gospel tells us something better. In this sermon, Phil explains that to get unstuck, we need more time in the desert.
