The Spirit of the Lord was upon Jesus to heal the brokenhearted [Isa 61]. The Son of God was manifest to destroy the devil's works. That includes trauma (bruises of the soul). That is the true Gospel of our Lord, Who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Isaiah said of Him, "by His stripes, we are healed. "Are" is perpetually present tense in this text. Peter said of Him, "by His stripes, you were healed." Meaning past tense, healing has been accomplished and completed through the atonement. Your emotional healing was purchased in totality on the cross just like the healing of the body.
