On Christmas eve, 1945, George and Ginny Sodder and their 9 children were asleep in there two story home when a fire broke out.
Only the family members on the first floor of the house made it out of the fire and had to watch from the ground as the 5 youngest children were left in the second story bedroom.
strange circumstanced and events leading up to the fire had the family and locals believing the children had actually been kidnaped and the fire was set as a diversion. almost 80 years later this case remains unsolved.
