On the newest preview edition of our show to start October, we have world title fights in Australia and England and WBA light heavyweight champ Dmitry Bivol joins us, too on the "Big Fight Weekend Preview Podcast."
Host T.J. Rives is back with insider Dan Rafael of Big Fight Weekend.com to go over it all.
They talk first about the unified middleweight title bout between Janibek Alimkhanuly and Andrei Mikhailovich who will battle in Australia on Friday night there, Friday morning in the USA. There is some brief discussion on this one, as it will already be over quick Friday.
There's more conversation about the WBA featherweight title with England's Nick Ball defending against Ronny Rios in the Queensberry Promotions main event from Liverpool, England Saturday night there. Ball is a squat, powerful puncher and let's see if the veteran Rios can challenge him much.
Then, hear Dan one on one with Bivol, who challenges Artur Beterbiev next weekend for the undisputed light heavyweight belts and Saudi Arabia.
There's fight news on Gervonta Davis' next ppv fight and how it WON'T be in Washington D.C. and Dan explains why? He's also got the latest on a world champ being injured and off a November fight card and is Terence Crawford going to maybe actually fight Sebastian Fundora for two more junior middleweight titles?
Then, they finish up with nostalgia anniveraries for a "Tito" Trinidad KO at Madison Square Garden with Dan there at ringside and also, Floyd Mayweather with a memorable KO early in his world title career, too.
It's all on the "Big Fight Weekend Preview" podcast and make sure to follow/subscribe on Apple/Spreaker/Spotify, etc.!
