Charlotte Rayfield ~ Getting Real About Young Adults With Disabilities
Manage episode 365795629 series 3323630
Suzi has the pleasure of speaking with Charlotte Rayfield, dear friend and an incredible young lady. Charlotte is 25 years old and a senior in college and has Cerebral Palsy. She is giving insight from the other side of the narrative in caregiving as the one receiving.
Oftentimes we focus as a society on caregiving for the elderly but what about caregiving for young adults who are disabled? This is a completely different approach and having the knowledge given to us by those receiving the care is empowering to do a better job.
What are your experiences as a young adult receiving care? What feedback can you provide so we as caregivers can do better and be better at providing care?
Email Suzi at suzigma@gmail.com with your comments and suggestions. She would like to hear what you can teach us as caregivers.
