ALTBAYS Table Talk 228 – Angel Taylor (Content Creator)

Welcome to the Altbays Table Talk (Feat. Beth Claire and Leo Magri)

Angel grew up surrounded by the NZ gang life. Adopted at 3 months old, she remained unaware of her biological mother until she turned 12. Her early years were marked by a rough upbringing, experiencing sexual abuse at a very young age. As a young adult, Angel grappled with feelings of rejection, considering it to be the norm. She faced homelessness, engaged in prostitution, battled severe meth addiction, and lived a life entangled with theft, alcoholism, and became a parent at the age of 16.

Angel's life took a darker turn as she witnessed a murder and accumulated 25 criminal convictions, resulting in a three-year jail sentence for assaults and intent-to-kill charges.

In 2009, despite having material wealth, Angel found herself in court, ready to face three years in jail. Supported by her whānau, she sought solace in religion, which, in her own words, saved her life.

Angel emerged as one of the first wahine Māori to share her story on social media. Now, she joins the Altbays Table Talk to delve into her life journey and discuss her current successful projects.
