We’re back with another AFTN Soccer Show packed full of Vancouver Whitecaps, Canadian national team, Copa America, and Euro 2024 chat, and we're joined this week by Felipe Vallejo to talk about it all.
We start on the international stage and the big story of the week as Canada reached the semi-finals of Copa America. We look at the big win against Venezuela, why they have nothing to fear and nothing to lose against Argentina, and discuss which players' stock has gone up the most with their performances at the tournament.
Keeping the Copa chat going, Felipe tells us about his trip to San Jose to see Colombia take on Brazil, we round up the rest of the action around the tournament, the US media meltdown after crashing out, the bizarre refereeing at the tournament, and get angry at some horrible camera angles.
Moving on to the domestic game, we look at the Whitecaps seven-point week, the latest point gained in Montreal, and the ever-tightening Western Conference standings. Plus we look ahead to the latest BC derby in the Canadian Championship as the Whitecaps head over to the island to take on Pacific in their semi-final first leg.
All of this plus we look at the continued disappointments at Euro 2024, Cork band The Frank and Walters continue as Album of the Month, and we've a Dutch Euros song in Wavelength.
