In 1974, a teenage Robert Viagas (future founding editor of Playbill.com) entered a Broadway theatre and watched the brand new musical from the legendary team of HELLO, DOLLY! Twenty five years later, a teenage Jeffrey Scott Parsons listened to that musical's original cast recording and couldn't figure out why MACK & MABEL was a flop.
