A Scot drinks whisky, and tells you about it; I’ll taste one malt or blend every episode, but there’s no set schedule for new episodes. This is not an authoritative guide; I’m just someone who has found he loves whisky and who wants to share my favourites and my new discoveries.

So if there is a brand of gin, whiskey or whatever, that you've been thinking of buying, then we can help you know more about it and exactly how to use it.

Since 2010 we've been a club that meets up once a month to sample a new, single-malt Scotch Whisky; because drinking scotch is better than not drinking scotch. Only one of us knows what we're drinking. The rest of us are blind tasting. We'll talk about color, smell, taste, and finish. We make predictions about age, region, and, if we're feeling lucky, even distillery. Then we rate it on a scale of 1-10. Remember to always drink responsibly.

When people talk about Bourbon, they usually talk about the barrels - they go on about the char levels and whether there was any toasting. After that, they might discuss the age and the time the liquid spent in those nicely charred barrels because, for most people, that time and those barrels denote the liquid's flavour. Occasionally, the conversat…
